Help! The Critters are Taking Over!

Hello everyone. My name is Glenn Hudley, proud father of 7 (4 boys and 3 girls) and dedicated Husband. I'll admit I'm very prideful (but I'm working on that)...but all pride aside this is a genuine plea for just a little help.

My family and I reside in Bronx New York We are originally born and bread from Leland North Carolina. 4 years ago we lost our home due to a tornado in Bladenboro N.C. and ended up moving to New York with my wife's mother and her husband to try to pick up the pieces. My wife's mother is all the family left from both sides....which is terrible for our children because we have to be mommy, daddy, auntie, Uncle ..ect. But it is what it is.. we love our children because they are literally our world.

3 years ago we got our apartment because we had to stay in a shelter program. I love my mother in law but she and her husband has a comfortable 1 bed room...it was 9 of us in total in a 1 bed room. So yeah we sucked it up and moved in a shelter to get help with our situation.

We saved our money and we qualified for a housing voucher (through the grace of God) and we moved into our current home in Bronx New York. It's a Three family home (a tri-plex). And it was a good home until last year.

Now it has become a bio hazard. There's an excessive amount of rats and roaches. They came from having other tennants that we're nasty and disgusting. ..And by nasty I mean throwing food, used cooking oil, bloody tampons, condoms, soda and beer bottles...the list goes on and on.

There wouldn't have been a problem if the "landlord" had some sort of rule enforcement or a "super" that takes care of all that....but that wasn't the case. The plumbing is bad and there is mold growing in my baby's bed room. Its growing all up the wall. (I have lots of photos if you'd like to see them)

My wife and one of my daughters have asthma....the roaches and mold alone is enough to send them straight to the hospital (God forbid)....

We are doing all we can to get out of this terrible situation. 311 don't help, the landlord never shows up. All I'm humbly asking for is a little help not for me but for my children. Their ages are 15, 10, 9, 8, 6, 3, 1 month.

Lord knows I'm not trying to ruin anyone's day or trying to run some bs scam. I'm really simply reaching out for a little help to add to what I'm bringing in so I can move my family into a more suitable living condition. Make no mistake, my wife and I are doing everything we can but if you find it in your heart to contribute to our cause it will be GREATLY APPRECIATED and you'll be included in our prayers as we thank the lord everyday. But if you can not contribute, I completely understand and I thank you very much for taking the time to read this. All I ask is that you kindly share this with the next.
